Profile

James Wilson is part of a family of carpenters and builders.  His dad started G Wilson Construction, a well-recognized master builder from Vancouver, where James worked and learned the trade from a young age.  After completing the Architectural and Building Engineering Technology program from BCIT he focused on the project managegement side of the family business.

Craving a simpler life for his family, they relocated to the Okanagan where James started his own business in 2003. He now works closely with his son Tyler, who also carries on the proud family tradition of journeyman carpenter.

Wilson Custom Builders are experienced craftsmen recognized for our discipline and dedication to creating memorable and unique homes that are built for generations.

Our goal is to achieve building excellence on every project through superior construction methods, attention to detail and effective project management. We focus on architecturally designed homes where quality is the feature.

All of our homes are custom projects designed and undertaken with your individual requirements in mind. We work closely with architects and interior designers to provide a focused strategy to help realize your dream and vision, a process that includes listening well and working together as a team throughout the build process.
